I want to search the Net for suppliers of a certain type of MDF decorative panel which I have seen in various designs, such as chinese characters, waves, and perforated with starfish and fish.

It's a very thin panel, maybe 6cm high, and you can use it to put a front on a shelf.

This picture looks like it might be the stuff:

I've searched Google for decorative MDF shelf fronts, decorative MDF panels, decorative MDF mouldings, perforated MDF mouldings, and many other expressions, to no avail.

Can anyone tell me exactly what it is called, so I can search for it?

Thanks!

Sxwmn!

Unfortunately, none of Jali's designs grab me and despite hours of searching for the new terms, edge trim and fretwork, I cannot find another maker -- anyone give a link to another supplier? I really fancy the starfish design I once saw somewhere.

You could design your own then go to any lazer or CNC cutting company and ask them to cut it for you.

Jason -- it just shows what a total lack of imagination I have that it never crossed my mind to have it made to my own design. Could prove more expensive though.

Chip - thanks for the lead will check it out....
