The new transporter is £239 a month.

Gotta pull the head light switch/knob out I think

Had a traffic/vivaro from new,the gearbox bearings disolved and knackered the box (under warranty) also the ECU died and immobilised the van for 3 weeks, new ECU. Think the trim is held on with marmite too, one of the top back pieces decided to remove itself on the motorway, replaced under warranty, oh and the boost control valve went aswell. Nice nippy van's though.

Transporter's are a little bit narrower than a transit. I've got a VW Crafter now, but it's high top MWB so quite a bit bigger than a transit.

VW Transporter would be my 1st choice. the traffic is good as well. have had 1 in the past 6 gears, sat nav nice motor
have a Connect now and would say STEER WELL CLEAR they are carp!!

VW Transporter every time.............Tranny is a gypo van, pull up in front of someones house with a Tranny & they'll think you're there to tar the drive!!!

Transporter is great when they work right but you'll lose plenty of working days whilst it is in the shop being repaired... In the first three years mine has had a Turbo, water pump, locking mechanism on the rear door, rear wheel hub/ bearing, alternator, flywheel and clutch and the passenger window fell out... The dealers are pretty poor too, unless you are lucky.

They are great to drive but dear to fix once out of warranty...

Go Toyota... I'd rather have a Toyota that doesn't stop than a VW that doesn't go

Had a Renault Traffic for Three Years from new, ABS Computer failed took over a week to fix Current Van a Vivaro, has been recalled Three times in 2 years, but overall pleased with it, it is easy to drive & reverse

However we are changing over to VW Transporters, my collegues that are driving them luv em, neither of them has been to a garage other than routine service ;)
