Hello

I'm planning on having my kitchen floor tiled at some point soon. Would be alright to tile upto the skirting boards or shall I remove them and fit new ones on top the tiles? The skirting boards in our house are the shorter type.

Thanks

Phil

You could do it either way, no right or wrong. Under skirting would make it a bit easier to tile as you don't need to worry about getting perfect edges as they will be covered.

Neater when removed as there's no grout to be seen afterwards.

On a lot of the kitchen floors I tile people have the skirting removed and a tile skirting fitted.

Get it removed. If you can get a skirting to match or cut down the tile and use as skirting. :)
Another money saving tip brought to you by Skitzee2k. Your thanks sustains me. :)
