Does anyone know how to reset the service interval light on an '09 Audi A3? The little wrench is visible in the odometer and I can't reset it. Even though the car has been serviced.

Thanks in advance!

who serviced it? ask them why they didn't reset the service indicator.

need to know if its on the standard or longlife service plan. i use a diagnostic machine to reset them. i think its possible to reset manually but only if the instrument cluster is programmed to the standard service plan.

It's on the standard service plan...... thanks for your help!!

Side Story:
Took my brand new A3 to Audi for it's initial 5,000 mile inspection and oil change. All was well. Recently, I went on vacation for a few weeks and came back and noticed there was an oil spot in my driveway once I moved my car. Took it to a mechanic friend. He lifted the car up and sure enough there was a leak from the drain pan plug. After some research, I learn that the Audi dealer(since they were the last one's to touch my car) over-torqued the drain plug on my new A3 causing irreversible damage to the oil pan. I took it back to Audi. At first they deny their fault and blame me. Finally after much back and forth they reluctantly fix the damage. I refuse to do my scheduled service with them. Ask them ONLY to fix the damage they caused as I will go elsewhere in the future. They try and charge me $350 for an oil change since the oil has to be changed once the drain pan is replaced. They refuse to reset the light since I don't do the scheduled maintenance through them!!
