I am looking to board the loft in my single garage. The roof trusses are pretty standard and extend beyond the garage to the utility built on the back of the garage so the hight is quite generous. However I am a little concerned about strength given the wood sizes.
The trusses are 4x2" at 24" centres and the unsupported run in the garage is 18 1/2 feet. (joist at edge of each garage wall & then 3 in between)
So would I be better putting a couple more joists in or just 22mm board or fine just using 18mm P5 board? The use will be light storage only.
Any advice appreciated
