Move house, I've had them in my garden for 16 years and I napalm every colony I find, they just come back.

If you've just got a scout/ranger ant in your house make sure you kill it.
If you've got a troop get traps from the supermarket, they work.

Don't waste money on ant powder, its carp.

Although the common gold fish is indeed a carp I have never seen any of mine eat ants.

Infact I have never seen any of my fish since the herons last visit.

When scientist returned to Christmas Island, after nuking it, guess which insect was still alive and thriving? :(

that is not true, the ants seen were atending the funeral of their mates, the scorpion is said to be te only thing that can withstand an atomic blast (though i dont see how)

If you can coat the ants in chocolate, they can make a tasty appetiser. Apparently  Don't eat them all at once though, or you won't have any left to breed for the future.

I thought Cockroaches were the absolute top survivor.

Ants are great for getting rid of greenfly. They take the little buggers home for dinner...

boiling water, nasty for ants, cheap and does get trid of them

i used to have ants comming in the back door
the only way i found to stop them was a trail of 3 in oil on the wall 3ft up either side and across giving a complete barrier it does look messy and it stained the walls for three years
of course it depends on how much the ants bother you but as said before you must kill all ants in the house caus now they say food food food
and the oil!!! i am shure it would probably wash off with a preasure washer

I have used petrol on ants nests in my garden.

Just pour around half a pint into the nest and drop a match on it from a safe distance , the nest will burn for a good while and when the flame has died off a bit I get a metal rod and stir the nest up allowing the flame to get to the heart of the nest and burn any eggs there.

Three years ago I couldn`t go in the garden for 5 minutes without getting bitten by them ( nasty red ones  ) and the bite used to swell up and itch for a few days now a gallon or so later my garden is almost clear of them :D
