the toothache is back despite the "grind guard" I have to wear at night..
luckily I've got some of the anti-bacterial mouthwash that they gave me last time so I'm using that up again..

It's bloody good timing as well if you ask me, if it was a couple of weeks ago I wouldn't be able to self medicate with alcohol but since it was my birthday on the 12th, I've got a bottle of cheap vodka and some spare cash to buy some cheap malibu knock off...

the ibuprofen works during the day but takes an hour to take hold, the alcohol takes a few mins and will help me sleep as well..

I'm just wondering if the Ipod will sound fast again like it did last time I was doped up on Ibuprofen...?

Put some 'failing' batteries in it!

There seems to be a few posters on here that could do with self medication.
;) ;) ;) ;)

In fact I offer to help them self medicate. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Oooh , That's like a knife through my heart JM.

What I meant was, that if they want to down a bottle of vodka , together with tons of painkillers, I'd just help them. ;) ;)

Only thing I've ever dealt have been cards (a pack of 52) ;) ;) ;)

So for you it's a bit like a public service, this "assisted suicide" thing (or as they call it in the UK - "murder" ;) )

Best not mention "topping oneself" too much on here, since there are clearly some who may be getting close to the edge and we don't want to encourage them. Mind you, if I was very depressed, paranoid, delusional, unemployed and living in the Wigan area would my demise really be such a loss to mankind?

Not at all JM, I would never help someone on their way to the afterlife.
What on earth do you mean?? Moi?? aid someone to kill themselves??

Never!!!!!!!!! (although my dog sometimes makes me feel like I could help him on his way) Especially when I take him out to do his business and 5 mins after coming in he does it. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)
(love him really) He seems to do the small one when he's out then leaves the really, really big ones for when he gets in!!!!!!! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

oi! I resemble that remark... all but the wigan bit.. ( surely just living in wigan is enough to put you over the edge? )

Whilst I feel your pain Col.....

Having had a wisdom tooth split in half and an absyss underneath let me put your pain into perspective...

1: A slipped disc - one of the most debilitating pains i've ever had.
2: A broken ankle. That was re-pinned. I passed out on the football pitch with that one.
3: Gout. Tops the others by a country mile with the sheer monumental pain (in ankle due to the break in my youth.) www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2007/dec/22/comment.health

I now take Colcochine, Naproxen and Allopurinol and have an acute attack at the moment (been 2 days so far). Doctors have put it down to seafood,(this time, last time it was marmite) as I love it, so i've cut it out. Cherry juice and dairy products until is dissipates.

Just saying... it could be worse.

I'd like to wish Col a speedy recovery.

I don't believe that for a second..

you have a venomous distain for me and people like me who are on the dole and desperately seeking gainfull employent ( minimum wage street sweeper earns me less than I get in benefits and I'm ashamed to say that I'd rather not risk losing the house just to have a job that pays less than not having one, but that's human nature.. I apply for every electricians job that pays more than I get if that's any condolence to you.. ).

Do you Col, have to work for dole money as I do? Alongside people that are doing community service? If you don't go your money is stopped, so how to eat?

I know of a criminal that refused their CS, and ended up banged up for 6 weeks, but what has someone that has lost their job, through no fault of their own, treated like crap..but the unemployed to be treated the same? but lose their liberties, rather than their freedom, I think that comes under the same branch, as I can't go anywhere, do anything, as I have no cash.

People can't get into their heads that there are professional people, with their own homes, going from 20-40k a year income, to £240 a month. Whereas the kids leaving school, having never had a job, think this is a bonus, and are happy to live on that, as Mummy pays the bills.

Once a professional like me or Col, it seems, gets a job, then we get council tax benifit taken away, that's over £1000, mortgage payments..but rent payments are larger than mortgage payments.

But the unemployed still have to go to work for basically 'free', why don't the workers devote time to charity? Me and Col still pay TAX.

Why do you think someone out of work should live in the same manner as someone who works? If you don't work - then sell your house and go into rented accommodation until you can afford to buy once more. The world doesn't owe you a good life.

Coljack, I think your teeth are giving you grief because you keep soaking them with malibu.
