I have heard that there are compatability problems moving documents between Office 2007 and Office 2003. Does anyone know if this is correct?

I know that Microsoft Word in Office 2007 uses a different extension, something like .docx and the 2003 version uses .doc. You can download a free program from Microsoft to convert the format so that 2003 can open them though. Dunno about Excel documents. ;) ;) ;)

some features may not work propely with older versions of office.

97 onwards the file ext is .***x whereas the older is just .***

if its likely to be frequent, ie working between work and home, when saving in 2007 when you get to choose the folder etc change the drop down box to 2000-2003 compatible, this will save in the older format .doc etc.

its more a problem in powerpoint and Excel (if using more complex features)
the newer versions of powerpoint have a lot more customisations on transitions etc, so these would need a good check over, sometimes powerpoint puts in somthing appropriate, somtimes just decides not to work.

Changed from 2003 to 2007 in 2007, no problems, but if you used Access 2003 there are big changes in 2007, but once mastered much better.
