I guess you know that there is no connection to strobe +?

yup tha works (and no connection to strobe+)

but ANNOYINGLY the manual that came with the "Accentra G3 compact" says "Gen4" and the "G3/G3 compact" manual I downloaded do not match up with the program sequences that are displayed ont he actual panel LCD !! as follows !

CODE..... PANEL shows....... G4 manual........... G3/G3 compact manual
0............ walk test.............. walk test ................ N/A
1............ alarm test............ alarm test ........... alarm test
2............ test o/p................ test o/p .............. communicator test
3............ sys flags.............. sys flags .............. flags A
4............ date/time............. date/time ............ flags
5............ language ............. zone names ........ zone type
6............ zone names.......... timers ................ zone attributes
7............ timers.................. codes .................. timers/counters
8............ codes.................... N/A ...................... codes
9............ N/A........................ N/A ...................... light controller
c>.......... view event log....... view event log...... N/A
o>.......... omit/allow/knock... omit/allow/knock... N/A
p>.......... set up prog's......... set up prog's......... N/A

cant help you on the prog side of ADE (honeywell) kit, unless its a Galaxy
some one here should be able to help you tho

John

ah and another thing

set your bell (siren) to SAB not SCB,

unless you have a decent bell box with at least a 9.6v ni cad (or nmha0

John

compared to the galaxy (I've seen the programing manual for that) this should be a breeze ;)

seems the manual is mostly right with the exception of program 5 "language"

dont most of the range come default english??

ahh the galaxy is a breeze (if you use em all the time) its only as complicated as you want them to be !!!

John

it's scrollable option through the usual languages, and throws out the programing sequences from 5 and above... gonn get on the case with honeywell tomorrow - thanks

You're obviously well out of your depth here & getting more & more frustrated.

I suggest you get an experienced alarm engineer or company to sort this out for you.

ps ( :) )

The strobe 12v+ is in more cases than not, an internal connection made at the sounder/strobe manual and is derived from the 12v+ hold off, a wire from the panel is not needed to achieve this.

The terminology used changes between manufactures and it's experience that rules here, as with the whole alarm installation programming procedure.

nope, not out of depth and or frustrated, and there was never an issue with the strobe + ? as my first post shows (n/a = not applicable)

the issue is the manual that came with the panel does not match the panel.

call to honeywell tech support (seems to be offshore  ) and they apologised that indeed the incorrect manual was sent with the panel.

new manual on its way

edited to say : 7meg pdf manual arrived by e-mail from india 7hrs later
