might be asking a stupid Q here but , does are you able to lay sand and monoblock in wet weather or is it best to wait for a drier period?

ie does a wet sub base make a difference to finished block?

i assume your laying on a sharp sand screed. if thats the case no problem. it will compact down a little better anyway. you just wont be able to do the kiln dried sand at the end

fine (im assuming its not moonsoon season up there!)

Howdy 'neighbour',
My pal in Kilwinning had his done over the last 2 days when it was absolutely bucketing - but as Thermo says, you cant do the Kiln finishing stuff until its dry. Easy enough done with a hired whacker which is cheap as chips.
