Hi how do I back up my favourites in Internet Explorer? I want to put them on a CD but still be able to access them when I go on the Internet. If the computer ever goes down I can just put them back on. Thank you.

So when I export them they will still be in my favourites menu when I open Internet Explorer?

I know this isn't relevant but when I go into My Computer and go into OS C I see there are folders with random letters and numbers. Any idea what these strange folders are? eg d403a89a8abf66943e4f8467.

The braindamage inherent with an OEM system.

I thought it had something to do with a virus. I was rather curious than worried because computer seems to be running ok and Microsoft Security Essentials never picks anything up. It's the same on my Dad's side as well.

Normally these are Windows updates / hotfixes etc, you can delete them but you need to change the owner to yourself first..

I put my favourites on my desktop and saved it to CD then I transferred them on to my laptop doing the reverse so that's me got backups should anything ever go wrong.
