can anyone tell me where the fan sensor is on a fiesta zetec sport 1.6

Something in my water tells me this one is ECU controlled.....

yeh but the ECU doesn't control nowt without a sensor to tell it the info it needs.

i'm not up on "new" cars but why does a car need to know the speed of the fan? perhaps we are talking about the crank or cam sensor?

I agree, but this one uses the sensor for the temperature gauge in the cylinder head to control the fan, I think.

fair enough john, i wasn't aware of that due to my disgust of new cars.

even so there's only four likely culprits.....i know which one i would be testing first.

HI WE CHANGED ONE ON AVAUXHALL CORSA THE OTHER DAY IT WAS LOCATED ON THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR TO TEST IF IT IS WORKING OR NOT PULL THE CABLE CONECTED (CAREFUL NOT TO SNAP THE CABLE )GET THE ENGINE FAIRLY THEN PUT PIECE OF COPPER WIRE TO CONNECT THE TWO CONTACTS THE FAN SHOULD START TO GO IF THE ENGINE IS HOT THE YOU WILLK NOW BUY A NEW SENSOR REGARDS DRYSTONE
