My hot water appears to be permanently stuck on. I've read through some posts on here and have an idea what the fault may be. I'm no expert but below is the info I have gathered:-
- Gas fired boiler Glowworm Ultimate 60FF
- Two 2 port Drayton ZA5 actuators, one downstairs, one in the loft by the cylinder
- Heating works fine
- Hot water stays on, pump is continuously pumping water around the system (and it doesn't normally), and the bathroom radiator is permanently hot as it normally is when the DHW is on (why IS this by the way!?).
- Hot water does not respond to the programmer switch
- Both actuators appear to switch across from A to B (and vice versa) sucessfully, the one on the cylinder switches over when I change the thermostat on the cylinder, the downstairs one responds when I switch on the heating. I even took the lid of the one by the cylinder and the valve could easily be turned by fingers
- Nothing has been changed recently, problem has ocurred on it's own
Is this to do with the hot water flow switch being stuck? I read it could be cleaned, if so how do I access (eg where is it!) it and confirm faulty and clean if it's a DIY job.
Thanks in anticipation.
