Hi

We've been given a Rangemaster 110 Gas oven/hob range.

It's been in storage for a few years, so not seen it working.

The problem is, the oven seems strange - where the gas comes in to the oven, there is a big gap - which looks like it should be there (not cut, etc) but I can see out of the back/bottom and into the real world.

Does anyone have one of these and confirm if the two ovens should have somethig to cover or fill that gap, or whether this is normal on a rnage cooker/gas ovens generally?

Help much appreciated (and required).

The Range serial number is 5337, a Leisure Blue NG.

Many thanks in advance

Peter

cheers people - useful stuff.

So I don't need to put anything behind it.

You've really helped me out here - I was about ready to call the scrap metal man and have it removed! phew!!

Now just have to see if the thing works.

when u get it up and running, check the flame goes from low to high ok. These things eat FSDs, changed loads.

Thanks for all your help and advice.

The cooker was plumbed in yesterday and everything seems to be working fine - yay! The cooker flame goes from high to low ok, as far as I can tell, the grill works, and each of the rings. So too does the griddle and the hot plate. So although it's been in storgae for a few years, all works as it should!

If I have any more questions I'll be sure to come back!
