It's gonna kick off one day soon isn't it? Who thinks yay and who thinks nay.

Seriously folks - how do you read it?

The Fog of War:
Of course, from where we're standing, Iran will have started it and Israel will win without commiting war crimes.

If the Iranians nuke Israel there are enough Jews left in the world to build the promised land again,if the Israeli's nuke Iran will there be enough Iranians left to rebuild, I doubt it so Israel wins either way.

Not a particularly well-thought out observation, oompah, stick it up your jumpa.

I'm assuming it was a tongue-in-cheek, throw-away comment.

The Iranians couldn't use nuclear weapons against Israel without seriously affecting the Palestinians.

If the Israelies launched (another) unprovoked, disproportionate strike against anyone, they would hardly be regarded as victors by the rest of the world. Although eventually, assuming no continuing hostilities, (which is highly probable from the Arab Alliance, not to mention loss of support from other non-Arab contries) they could come to regard themselves as victors.

I suspect that most nations are slowly realising that the important war is that of propoganda.
The Israelies are in danger of losing this one by their own entrenchment.

Yes to the first part, since when have the Israeli's cared about world opinion.

Israel will end up doing the wests dirty work for it. We'll all chastise them but will be secretly a little happy Iran is no longer on the map...this goes for any country where a religious leader has the final say in elections.

I think you are over simplifying it.
Israel vs Iran = WW3. Fact. (Which may or may not go nuclear)

Think about it, USA may stand back but as they are supplying weps to Israel, would be considered a legitimate enemy. Israel has enough detractors that Iran would gain allies it didn't even know it had.

Works both ways, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"

So how about the friend of my enemy is my enemy?

As things still stand, Israel can continue to be intransigent because it has a blank cheque from the USA "You can do whatever you want, even go against our wishes, and we'll always support you"

this has not done the cause of peace any good.
