Hi,

Have a problem with our triton opal shower:

For the last few months, we have had an intermittant low pressure problem, where the low pressure light will come on and the flow will continue but become cold. (the water pressure at the mains is fine). After a few minutes it would recover and work fine again.

However yesterday this happened and it didnt recover, and is now stuck with no flow at all, and the low pressure light is constantly on.

I have cleaned the inlet filter/ head / lead but still the same problem.

Anyone have any experience of this, and which part might be at fault?
Have read about similar issues but most seem to have the low pressure light but retain water flow - we have the light and no flow at all!

Any help appreciated!

Thanks!

the triton opel suffer from faulty pcb's.
the first part of your problem points to the pcb.

the second part of your post doesn't (no water flow)
you may have an existing fault and now also have another fault.

first will be to get the water flowing again.
check the solenoid coil for 230v when shower on.
then isolate the mains power and check the solenoid coil in it's failed state for resistance with a multi meter.
you want 3.4 kohms or above.

once you get the water flow issue shorted you can sort the low pressure issue, ie it be the pcb pressure switch fault or the stabiliser fault.

thanks guys!

Will get the mutlimeter out tonight at have a look at the isolated state...new solenoid looks like £35 so a new unit seems just as good an option!
