Hi does anyone know of the minimum width for a rear passageway at the back of the property, for access etc. I am in the process of erecting a line of fencing and need to make sure of required width between fencing for neighbours access to their garden. thanks

you will need to consult the deeds or who ever holds them
on mine it say
"maintain a patwhay 34" inches wide along the sidewall off no 2 and then turn through 90 degrees along the back wall at 34" to the point ajoining the property known as no4 for the use off foot traffic but not livestock or commercial use"

or simmilar words to that effect :D :D

Thanks big-all for your reply. 34 inches sounds about right.

It is a rear accessway shared by the tenants of several houses so not sure if deeds exist. the current width varies along the path between 33 to 36 inches, approx the width you specified so will stick to this.

Will need access next year for cement mixer when i will be doing bit of landscaping hopefully.

thanks again.
