Keyless thumbturn half size Euro cylinders

Does anyone know if these exist and if so where I could get some?

Basically I have two sets of UPVc double doors, one onto a balcony and the other onto a small yard. There is no reason why we would need to lock them from the outside so I guess ideal security would be to have a blank face plate on the outside. On the inside a simple thumbturn mechanism would be ideal to get in and out easily.

This seems like a basic product but I can't seem to find them anywhere!

I have never seen a single euro thumb turn and a quick look through various catalogues tell me it is an unusual request probably because you would have to deal with blocking of the exterior hole. Why not a double euro with thump turn?.
No outside hole to block and easy open from the inside.

Brilliant, thats exactly what I was after! You're right though now I just need to find a blank faceplate, should be one out there somewhere!

Just remember to satisfy insurance standards any door ( or Window) exposed should be capable of being KEYLOCKED. This is for a few reasons one being if access is gained elsewhere they cannot open a door to facilitate the burglary. Or break a pane of glass and gain entry without a key.

So do yourself a favour and forget this idea, unless your very rich and dont care.

Right, very good point. I'll check with my insurer first then. Bit daft really as I expect most people tend to leave the key in the door for easy outside access in any case!

You can get handles with a keyhole on one side and a blank on the other.

Hi Guys,

don't know if you have this sorted yet but bear in mind UPVC doors have offset locks so when ordering your thumbturn you will need to specify the length as it may only be 40 or 45mm like standard timber doors but it may be longer depending on the position of your lock in the door
