Hi,

I have a Profile 50e sealed system with 6 rads in a flat.

Hot water is fine. However, CH doesn't keep running.

It's about 19C in here right now and the thermostat is set to around 25 or 30, but it never keeps running.

Rads are aired and do get very hot when it runs for a while, but then the boiler stops as if its reached the desired temp.

There is an old analogue room stat (Honeywell), which always makes a click at around the 22C mark.

Is the room stat broken/stuck?

Thanks.

Hard to say what the problem is without seeing the installation and testing the various components - a good time to get a heating engineer in!! ;)

put a bag of frozen peas on the stat,if it still clicks at 22 after a few mins it's boogard

Does the room in which the stat is located have a TRV on the rad?

Hi,

the room stat is in a hallway, nearest rad is around the corner and is the only one without a TRV (its the bypass rad presumably).

I tried cooling the room stat as you said for a couple of mins and it always clicks at the same point (about 22C). In fact, I know it always clicks at the point because it does in the summer too - should the "clicking point" follow the room temp?

I also took exact temp at the room stat point and its showing 19C.

yes
