This is a tricky one... i like to think I'm fairly handy when it comes to getting radiators working again but this has me stumped.
My girlfriend's house has one radiator in the dining room which has been cold for some time. I removed the radiator and flushed it out, there was some dirt but not lots. I refitted it, balanced the system, but whilst the in flow pipe now heats up, the rad only gets lukewarm after several hours and the outflow stays cold.
Tried replacing the lockshield valve and the TRV with new ones but it made no difference. Also tried turning off all other radiators but it still failed to heat up.
Tested the in and out flow pipes by closing one valve, then repressurising the system to see if the the rad fills, then doing the same with the other valve. All seems ok. Girlfriend assures me that the rad did used to get hot in the past.
Any ideas out there?
