hi, at work we use a cnc router to cut panels for furniture, the stuff we cut is paper veeneered ply and we used to use tct bits, they cut the cleanest and lasted the longest, but can be snapped easier than solid carbide bits, the solid carbide bits were very sturdy but they didnt cut very clean and so ripped the veeneer off most boards, so in my opinion the tct bits are better, but it depends what you are cutting

hope this helps :D

For the cutters I use the most I use replaceable tip cutters as these work out cheaper than brazed TCT cutters and you are very limited in choice for solid carbide.

Interestingly I find solid carbide more fragile that tipped or replaceable.

What are you cutting? if its veneered stuff then then down cut spiral solid carbide will not lift the veneer like upcuts will.

I get most of my cutters from Wealden
