Soot troden into carpet

Hi. I`ve stupidly managed to get soot on my carpet. Ive heard it wont come out. Just wondering if you guy`s might know some tricks to get it out. Cheers

If it's 100% spun polyester fibre carpet, as most are nowadays, then a mild solution of Stardrops cleaner and bleach will do it.

"Bleach" you say....polyester carpets are plastic, you can't bleach the colour from it any more than you could from a plastic washing up bowl!

Carbon di-suphide will dissolve carbon if I remember correctly.

Young Joe is, as we all know know, is Brain of Britain, and that post pretty much sums up his value on this forum.
 
It's surprising how many people will spray a stain without getting the worst of it up. Obviously it just smears it all over the shop. So it IS good advice whether you like it or not. :p
