Hi guys, I have a baxi duo tec 40 just under 3 years old, ( all ready fitted in new build apartment ) fault 19 which indicates low pressure, the pressure reading is on empty, ( needs re pressuring ) I don't know how fast this went down as I have tenants in apartment and they know zilch, boiler serviced in November and all ok Inc certificate in place, I can refill it but what would cause this to happen and how much would parts and labour cost roughly ps would this fault be down to one thing, or could it be a number of things, thanks.

Water leaking somewhere.

Probably a rad valve needs tightening but could be anything.

But to completely empty, as shown on clock, would that not be a substantial amount of water leakage, ie soaking wet carpet or something, that is if it was a rad.

No the gauge reads pressure not water volume. So '0' means no pressure not system empty.

These units are sensitive to pressure and do drop out earlier on the gauge than some boilers so to get to zero must mean a leak. And a pretty quick one too

Are yes see what you mean, just been to look at it, re pressurised via turning the two round taps each side of the copper pipe, and found leak ( just a few drops ) pressure went down really fast, so tightened one of two large silver wing nuts each side of pipe and stopped leak, the information I have is that the small pipe in between should only be used to fill tank and talen away and replaced with two nuts, but it has been like this since installed, even when serviced, is this ok being left.
