There is definetaly a leak. Need to find it??????????????

Ordo's right.

A good way to start locating such a leak is to close the flow and return isolating valves under the boiler (assuming there are some) and see if the boiler pressure gauge continues to show a drop. If so the problem is obviously with the boiler (prv valve, auto air vent?). If not, observe what happens when isolating valves are reopened. If there is a sudden pressure drop, this shows that leak is in system external to boiler.

Of course you can't use heating during such a test (which might be over a few days), but that's not a problem in August.

Bang on chrishutt, This is an excellent way to test and you should get results.

The only snag could be that there probably WILL be a leak, then, from

the flow and return isolating valves under the boiler

Some operators think it shouldn't be used, but leak sealer is useful, it will often cure the leak, wherever it happens to be, and it's more cost effective than your time spent looking. (Unless the customer is rich and wants to pay you lots justy to find it. Often they don't ).

Thanks leak sealer could be the best option
