raebhoop,im still waiting for my invite aswell. i thought it had come this morning when an envelope with a london postmark arrived,it was just another bill tho.Im giving them till next week then im making alternative plans.
wreckedit,spitting image was class.we should start a campaign to bring that back,they'd have a field day now.

IMO, our Monarchy is the only thing our country has going for it these days. We have gone from being a force to be reckoned with in the world to a damp squib.

I think you'll find that Prince Charles and The Queen are paying for the wedding. Although the taxpayer will no doubt foot the bill for the extra policing/security, I'm sure that'll be more than made up for by the revenue generated by the tourists who will flock here for the event.

In the 45 years since I was born, most of the things about this country that used to make me feel proud to be English first, British second have been snatched away or erased.

Her Maj. and our armed forces are among the few things left that we can all feel grateful are worth keeping and celebrating.

Unfortunately, our monarchy being a family, means there are members who are less appealing. Much like most families. I'm not counting William as one of these, but at the end of the day he is the Queen's grandchild.

So, to all those embittered little killjoys who want to deny the rest of us the spectacle of a royal wedding on 29th April -

Is supporting a monarch that has endured through the centuries, and helped shape our country, any more idiotic than watching Wayne and the rest of the oafs beiing paid millions, funded by gullible people who pay 30 quid to stand on a terrace for a couple of hours?

We all get football crammed down our throats every day of the year whether we like it or not. At least the wedding will be over by May.

As for if you don't like it Emigrate...I've traced my ancestors back well before this bunch of Krauts came to the throne.

Their family's a joke...Charlie wears more medals than a North Korean general though he's done sod all to earn 'em.The only one he would deserve is for marrying that thing.

Come on mates cheer up it may be the last wedding of our monarch we will see in our life, I was looking into the availability of the reservation seat inside the Westminster Abbey and it’s only for the Royal families and the foreign guests, well I will have to settle in the rain/sunshine. :)
