It's not Ideal with that leak. Get it checked, it could be something very simple, but it will give you peace of mind. 
Fitted on a grant?? it is leak sealer leaking from the heat exchanger.
I have a feeling this brown thing is dripping from the sump region. Sump rubber seal may have seen its better days. Have it looked at, leaks can lead to more expensive repairs!
My guess wouldn't be as good as yours.
Obviously it's a leak so get it checked out. The brown gunge is residue of chemicals from the system water as they don't evaporate when the water does.
