A diaphragm or crap to make them feel they are in control

I cant believe you brought a fan after all was said, but any way you need a second opinion really. You boiler is a heat only boiler so dosent have a diaphragm in it fact! Do you have water coming out of the tap? Just not hot? Is either a airlock on the cylinder, stat on cylinder duff or not turned up or port valve bust.

Thanks for your advice, I have only have cold water coming out of the tap. I was told in the very beginning it was an airlock the plumber even said that. so it can be any of the things you mention?

Is either a airlock on the cylinder, stat on cylinder duff or not turned up or port valve bust.

Sorry - Jordans comment about buying the fan - I thought I was missing something and this thread was a continuation of a previous one that I've missed!

You can test these yourself most valves have a manuel lever on them so put it to auto and see what happens same as the stat see what it's set to should be 60ish but turn it up and down to see if I makes the port open!

I hope you are all enjoying yourselves.

I dont understand how householders put up with people working in their houses who dont know what they are doing.

I suggest you deduct the cost of the new fan from the pay of whoever said you needed one and give it to him.
