Electric Shower Poor hot flow

I've an electric Californian Redring, the pressure on cold is fine but is very poor when the thermostat is turned up.
Is this problem financially worth repairing?

That's just how electric showers work: by reducing the flow through the shower, the water heats up more.

Yeah but it was ok, now little more than a trickle.

are you having to turn it up higher than before to get it hot ?

Sorry for the delay (been away), can't be sure about either question as its a second shower that the kids use, but I would say it was a sudden , but reported late
