Ford radio code

Hello all, I need help with a radio code please.
Changed the battery on my dughters Ford Ka, she was sure she had the code (and is still looking). In the meantime, I will try on her behalf.
It is a RDS 5000, serial no. M000222. Any help much appreciated.

Is the radio fitted as standard? If so your Ford dealer should be able to help. They will probably need the VIN number.

If it is similar to the 6000 series the code is 2184, use button 1 to enter the first number, button 2 for the second etc.
Press 5 to enter the code.

Thanks everyone for the replies. The prize goes to ......2184, all working fine now.
I do not wish to come across as a tight wad and was
quite happy to go to Ford main dealer, but having just spent 600 quid getting it through its MOT at the same main dealer, they said the battery had gone due to the previous harsh winter. They qouted another 100 quid for battery and fitting, I said to daughter, I can get one at Halfords for half the price. Obviously once the code was needed Ford got all high and mighty and quoted 30 quid for the code.

£30 for the code

Thats bang out of order especially after spending £600 previously. If the car's out of warranty time to look for a good independant who will value your custom. Ask around and get some recommendations. There are some good guys out there still.

Make sure you get the correct battery, some more modern cars use silver calcium batteries that charge slightly differently to the older type batteries.
