Is this repairable?

So you choose to slip in to negative attitude mode and make a post so stunningly facile that it means absolutely sfa.

I'd like to know why you posted, did your train set break down, and in bored mode you simply felt you had to state the obvious ? Please restrict your critic to posts that deserve it, rather than correcting ones that were nothing more than speculative guesses based on zero information.

Thank you and Happy Easter

I thought it was a bit harsh as well....

OK - fine - we'll just let people make statements of factual diagnosis which are so stunningly facile that they mean absolutely sfa, shall we?

The OP posted a photo of a shower that had caught fire.

Chri5 said "That's what happens when you use bell wire". The value of that was what, exactly? It wasn't a question, Chri5 didn't ask "Was it wired using bell wire?", he stated "That's what happens when you use bell wire".

The point being what?

He said "Under rated (and existing)cable". The value of that was what, exactly? It wasn't a question, Chri5 didn't ask "Was the cable underrated?", he stated "Under rated (and existing)cable".

The point being what?

Chri5 said "with a MCB that was changed to 45 amp". The value of that was what, exactly? It wasn't a question, Chri5 didn't ask "Was the MCB changed to 45 amp?", he stated "with a MCB that was changed to 45 amp ".

The point being what?

Nothing less than an attempt at humour, no more no less  .

Maybe not funny, but in the context of the 1st line of the 1st post "is this repairable" a witty remark based on no information was not exactly a hanging offence.

See (the way I see it) it is simply that if a poster, with some knowledge and skills, posts a remark that's got an element of humour then responses with equal humour are ok.

So, would you please explain why the general context of the 1st few posts on the thread were acceptable humour, and mine via your reply was not?

On a side note, a simple "yeah, ok I see what you mean"," I was being a bit of an 4rse" as an apology would appreciated.

It didn't read as humour.

You'll get over it.

BAS you need to decide which of your persona you want to be on here. One minute posting pictures of women p1$$ing up a wall and the next berating someone for making a joke about bellwire. Get a grip man.

No worries I'm thick skinned, I'm just a tad miffed that BAS has choosen to alienate someone who has always remained quite neutral to the BAS v DIYnot not BAS fans.

Hey ho, only a big man accepts wrong and then has the courage, coviction, maturity and heart to admit a mistake, The mistake here being a SOH bypass.

I'm sure someone loves you, but I bet you make it really hard for them.

Your loss my dear chap, when you comprehend the word humility, then maybe one day you will get over yourself.

Sorry BAS - normally respect your views, but I have to agree with Chri5 - that was unfounded & uncalled for, you must have been bored. Hang your head in shame.

:(

its all fairly pathetic and has a negative effect on what was a good forum.

nobody wants to post only to be completely berated in such a patronising, know it all manner.
