On saturday my (only) neighbor came home with a nondescript X reg pickup. In the night I was woken by 'bip---bipbip---bip' so looked out of the window to see this pickup happily locking and unlocking itself repeatedly I closed the window and went back to bed.At about 05.30 his brother inlaw turned up to borrow thier Discovery,he unlocked it and got in then it promptly locked itself and when he tried to get out the alarm went off.Has anyone any ideas what is going on here as my Ranger is unnafected and so is the Jag parked down here.Could it be the infra-red night vision on the cctv ? although that has been there for a year or the
electric fence arround my garden ? or are we in the grips of something sinister?.

Could be a faulty actuator in the door/s or broken wires in the loom/rubber grommet that goes from the car body to the door/s.

;)

Could be radio interference of some sort, modern remote locking works at about 330 mhz which is used by many other short distance communicators and is also part of the UHF amateur radio band.

Certainly some food for thought here,As I am close to the M25 I have a very strong mobile signal,in fact I am using mobile broadband at home because nothing I connect to the phone line ever works.I have not however noticed any new masts being set up.
If next door had (and I don't know) a wireless baby alarm could that cause this interferance?.
