I need to replace the LNB on my sky minidish. The dish was installed about 7 years ago.

My problem is getting the old LNB off. I think it should pull off the arm but is secured laterally by what look like plastic pinch points that have to be depressed from both sides of the arm.
Does anyone know if that's right?
Thanks
Tim

Depends on the design of the dish. They aren't all the same. Whatever the fixing method it shouldn't need a PhD in Astrophysics to work out how to get it apart.

A bit of a push pull twist and the use of a thin blade screwdriver and you can overcome the barb fixing. however are you sure the LNB is faulty the one I changed for my son a few months ago turned out to be an overgrown tree half way up his terraced garden completely blocking the signal in the end and the symptons over the previous few months were various channels freezing until eventually all channels disappeared.Consellation he has a brand new LNB on his dish but unfortunately now just a tree stump instead of a tree

The fixture is, as far as I can see, like the end caps in MFI furniture, just lever off, pull out. I think I've had 3 replacement LNB's so far, HUGE spiders have been living within.
