While I'm on the topic of "missing" folk, does anybody know what happened to AdamW?
It seems he last posted April 2006. I wonder why he disappeared?

It was a bit of a surprise to see my user ID on the forum, how are you Simon?
I had to cut myself off... Forums can be addictive, but when you've got one chock full of interesting and knowledgeable folk, it's damn hard to pry yourself away sometimes! I found that I was neglecting other parts of my life (namely sleep and work) and would often be up at the wee small hours chucking in my two pen'orth.
I spent about 2 years completely away from the forum, then I bought a house as a fixer-upper and thought "Hey, I should get back onto DIYnot!". After what can only be described as a "George Best relapse", i.e. the first time I came back on I was up until 4am reading all about people's views on the issues of the day... then I realised I needed to be careful
All sounds rather silly, and to be honest, it is!
Since then, I created a pseudonym and do my best not to spend too long on here, although I do occasionally spot a juicy topic on the general chat and just can't help myself! Trying to be less opinionated nowadays, with partial success.
What I remember about SecureSpark (correct me if I'm wrong!)
Electrician, formerly food scientist, vegetarian, owns a sodastream, called Simon, once dug a ruddy big hole in the middle of a beach with his boys (I remember the photo), has a beard and drives an Octavia (although I accept that may have changed in 5 years!)... all off the top of me head!
