Hi guys

Can anyone help me out, I am looking for a career in the motor trade, I know my way round a car and would love to learn more, Im in Southyorkshire,got transport and im willing to travel. I would gladly work for free during any trial period, and in return you will get seven days a week from me with no complaints, so what have you got to lose, or could you pass my details on to anyone looking for help thanks.

I am a gas engineer but cars have always been a passion of mine and theres nothing wrong with keeping your options open.

Have you tried the usual route of the job centre or are you just looking for some experience so you can start up on your own?

The trade is very different to what it was a few years ago, I have been repairing my own cars for 50 years or more but I am struggling with the modern ones because of all the electronics and I have been an elecronics engineer all my working life!

Failing the employment centre I think your best route would be to visit a few independant garages with your suggestion, Im sure someone would like some free help - it depends what you want in return.

I am a bit like yourself, and yes its not as clear cut as it used to be,frustrating at times, but Im willing to learn, just need a break but dont know anyone in the trade.
I have a love and passion for cars and just want to learn more.

That gives me justification in leaving our 4 year old Pug well alone

Only needs the service every 2 years anyway .
