Hi all

I have bought a 3 light spotlamp fitting to replace the light in my hallway.

I thought it would be a simple swap but am confused with the wire setup!

I need to fit this

I took the two wires out that held the old light in and am left with this

Can somebody please advise which 3 wires I plug into the new spotlamp?

I am aware of which 3 coloured wires I need but not sure of which 3 ?

Thanks!

That's easy.

Look back at the picture with the flex connected.

Which wires are connected to the blue wire?

Which wires are connected to the brown wire?

Then the earth connects to the green/yellow-sleeved conductors.

Please ensure the earth conductors are secure: they are not at the moment.

Can you do this now or does this end up breaking Part P....... ?

Yeah I know what you mean.......Just didnt know if you where "supposed too" or not.

Oh right haha not sure but I wouldn't worry about it unless you blow your electrics!

Ok, so I fitted the downstairs one fine but now I have changed the upstairs one and for some reason when I turn the power back on, the light stays on and cannot be turned off from either the downstairs or upstairs switch - it just stays on.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Ah right so I've obviously mixed the red wire that isn't used with the red wire that is ?

I had to pull the round plastic connector that the wires connect to off so I could get the light to attach to the ceiling.

Did you manage to find a machine screw to secure those earths?

I put all the wires into a block connecter and secured them
