How can this dangerous and deluded fool have a crusade against BS 7671 when he doesn't even bother to own a copy of the current (green) or even the previous (red) edition?

Can't afford a copy, poor sales on his latest publication

I rarely get so rude but ...

Call that rude ??? You can do better than that. ;)

Yes to be fair and I know this has been alluded to in an earlier part of this thread but I was going to suggest to him (purely in the interests of him attaining fame) that he go on Britain's got talent and do a fire act influenced by his name. A far more useful and profitable pursuit (relatively speaking) compared to that of the dribble in his book.

Now that is quite rude for me

Er, it's worse than that. DC is working from the blue sixteenth edition.

Er, isn't that what I said?
Rather an academic point anyway, since whichever version he has, he doesn't understand some of the basic principles.

Not quite... before the red seventeenth there was a brown sixteenth... he's on the one before that!

Agreed. (See my original post!)

I thought it was that he understood them, but nobody else in the world did, especially JPEL/64?

You lot really can't cope with this can you?

The EAWR tells you that all conductors other than circuit conductors must be connected to earth, Chapter 41 simply gives you a number of loop impedance values and tells you that if they cannot be met, you then also need to employ 'local' supplementary equipotential bonding to connect the far ends of your cpc's and already bonded conductor together.
It's just simple logic and common sense!

I do not necessarily think democracy is as wonderful as people make out but if absolutely EVERYONE disagreed with me I think I may begin to wonder if I were WRONG.

Does it? It gives earthing as one method, but makes provision for "other suitable means" to be employed to prevent danger:

Earthing or other suitable precautions
8. Precautions shall be taken, either by earthing or by other suitable means, to prevent danger arising when any conductor (other than a circuit conductor) which may reasonably foreseeably become charged as a result of either the use of a system, or a fault in a system, becomes so charged; and, for the purposes of ensuring compliance with this regulation, a conductor shall be regarded as earthed when it is connected to the general mass of earth by conductors of sufficient strength and current-carrying capability to discharge electrical energy to earth.

You are a singular individual, Cockburn.
You get totally owned on both the IET and this forum, time and time again, yet your ignorance is such that you soldier on, letting logic and correct information go completely over your head.

As has been pointed out to you already, both on here and on the IET forum: NO IT DOESN'T.

If you are going to quote the law, then do yourself a favour, and make sure you quote it correctly.
Back to school, sunshine.
