when is the best time to plant these conifors can i plant them now
before the end of the world

There really is little point in planting anything now, or in the future. I have it on reliable authority that the earth will be hit by a giant asteroid sometime in late September, game over......................

Wasn't the asteroid supposed to be some time earlier this week, according to some other posts on DIYnot.

Best time to plant leylandii is whenever your neigbour is on holiday; you will be falling out with them in about 6 years

It was, but when I pointed it out, the reliable source said that was shom mishtake, and it should be September,...... hic!!

I was under the impression that the asteroid had a built in leyland cypress targetting scanner so nothing else would be damaged except the most invasive unneighbourly plant ever developed.
It's no good for anything except growing to extreme heights that cannot be controlled properly.
