My old lunar eclipse is coming to the end of its life. A friendly farmer said he would take it off my hands for £20. I think I'd rather strip all the alu off , burn the wood, and maybe use the chassis as s flat bed trailer . The question is has anyone tried this ? can the chassis be used as a trailer?
Cheers.

Yes you can use the chassis as a trailer, lots of people do it when their vans come to an end.

Make sure the brakes work on the chassis, dont free wheel it. If there are brakes fitted they must be used.

Thanks very much for all your replies fellas. I think I'll have to decline the farmers kind offer.

Strip it down...Put the parts on fleebay.....small parts offer postage....bigger stuff collect only...job done...

The insulations is the hardest to get rid of.

Try selling as spares or repair.

Builders (when they were working on sites) wanted them to live in, and charge there gaffer B&B rates

The average caravan yields about £50 of ally. Iv'e just this minute bid on a fridge vent as i need another, £5, windows do sell, as do the interior, if in good nick, you can burn the inulation, and break it down,...

me, fill it full of ****,old tvs, some scrap to cover it, make sure the water tanks are full, pi$$ the interior with water, and put it on the scales..

£200 allday long, minimum.
