Thanks for reply,boiler definately runs ch, so no chance it heats dhw as well.Probably explains conflicting views on web (did try to find out first)She says there is tank in cupboard with the name Elson Coral B.Maybe this is heater-Im going over tonight with me torch...
its a heat only boiler (a good one, fitted loads) 2 pipes out of top, gas inlet underneath,
it should be connected to the radiators and hot water cylinder coil via a mid position valve or 2 zone valves

The Elson Coral is a thermal store providing mains pressure hot water.
Is the boiler thermostat turned to maximum?
Is the hot water switch on the Elson unit set to high or low?
Is the timeclock on for hot water?
It may take 15 minutes or so to get hot water once the boiler fires up (and the store is brought up to temperature)
