Hello. I have a nest of tables. The legs are discretly attached to the table top with a bolt. The problem is the wood has been damaged slightly and so the bolt is not held in place properly.

To cut a long story short: I need to patch up thewood with a filler and re-drill a hole which will be able to support the bolt.

Can any body recommend a suitable filler which can be drilled and screwed?

I have seen that some wood fillers are expensive, but I only need a little bit and might not use it again.

Thanks,

Hajj

You're asking a wee bit much from wood fillers, Hajj - any chance of glueing the leg in place with PVA and adding a couple of screws from the hidden underside?
Failing that, perhaps you could fix the offending bolt in place with Araldite before tightening up.

Just thought I'd seen a polyfiller that could take a screw. But if you gentlemen didn't mention it must be that it was for a different application.
