Hi,

I am replacing a Sunvic SP100 CH/HW Programmer for the latest version which is the Sunvic 207 XLS.
I have worked out what wires go where in the new Programmer, but on the new Programmer it doesn't require an Earth which was connected to the Earth Terminal in the SP100.

The instructions on the Sunvic 207 XLS state "....No EARTH connection
is required, but ensure continuity of EARTH throughout the system."
I'm not entirely sure it means by "..ensure continuity of EARTH throughout the system".

Can I connect it to the spare Terminal on the new programmer which is marked CHOFF (as there is no wire connection to here) or should I do something else ?

Grateful for any help. javascript:emoticon(':p')

Don't connect it to the CH OFF terminal, this becomes live whenever the heating is off!
Join the earth connections with a piece of terminal block and tuck this away.
Ensure earth continuity means that you should not break an earth connection that is terminated in the programmer, joining earths together in a terminal block will achieve this.

"Don't connect it to the CH OFF terminal, this becomes live whenever the heating is off! " - Ah, Glad I checked !

"Join the earth connections with a piece of terminal block and tuck this away. " - Can you confirm what you mean by connections ? There is just ONE Earth wire into the current programmer. I understand what you mean by connecting this wire to a terminal block, but your reply suggests joining two earths together via a terminal block or have I mis-understood ?[/b]

If just the one cable put a termination (terminal block will do) on the end and tuck it away. Just need to ensure that the earth cable cannot move and touch another terminal and become live.
