what would you recommend to fix a 6X2 timber to the side of a brick wall. The timber is 4.8 metres long and will be used to hang joists fron to form a first floor decking frame. so i need something that will go thru 2 inches of timber then into the brick work 90-110mm. therefore looking at cheapest best solution. was thinkning of threaded bar with resin then bolting timber on or anchor bolts or resin capsules with bolts. not really too sure what is best but i have a tight budget so looking at best alternative.

please what would you recommend and at what cost? approx

cheers

Forget the resin it's expensive and overkill in this situation, use concrete screws or express anchors.

A pack of 10 m8 x 100 steel anchors (AKA expansive bolts) are about £2.50 from toolstation

Or push the boat out and go for m10 for 50p more
