Two drain inspection covers to build over?

Thanks

Would I need planning permission for moving the drain? (only going to be a routine conservatory)

Not for moving the drains no, but the work would require Building Regulations Approval.
My lower end quote kind of excluded B.R approval - and kind of assumed the rainwater could survive without a manhole , just a T or branch pipe ;) . One thing to watch however is the adoption of all private sewers by the water co`.s - starting soon this year . Of course I would never attempt such underhand work for customer - Might do it in my own backyard tho`

Before you do anything else regarding these drains, you need to ascertain who owns them!!!!!!!! In our area the majority of drains in the rear of the propertys are owned by Thames water, and you need their permission to do any work regarding the drains.
If you do work and then there is a problem further down the run, you would be liable for the whole bill, if they deem your manholes to be conducive to the problem. :D
