Hey chaps,

Not been on in a while but have now changed jobs from Electrical Trainer/ Assessor, 2391, 2382, 2377, etc to Project Manager for an electical contractor.

What I would like to know is does anyone here use a PDA for recording test results? If so, which device and what software does it run. The NICEIC don't currently offer a PDA as a solution but do offer the certification software. Ideally I need integration between onsite result input and certificate printing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers fellas.

Well. There are a few packages about.

But the devices that they run on are a bit dated IMO.

Tap-it Electrical Inspector is quite good but you are going to need a Palm PDA or a PDA like an HP running Pocket PC, or Windows Mobile 5.0 for Smartphones or Windows Mobile 6.0 or a full laptop

EasyCert have a mobile app for iPhone & iPAD (THATS more like it!)
but that works with their full suite running on your PC so lots of £££££

There are others from Amtech etc. Have a Google of
electrical certification software

Cheers.

I've just downloaded EasyCert iPhone app and it's full of drop down menus, has most of the cells filled in and alters as you input your own data. It's great!

Problem is we won't be buying everyone iPhones due to cost :D We need a PDA that will bounce of the wall :D
