I have a baxi 105he boiler its pretty much brand new one of the last sold and stored for a few months before installation.

I turn the heating on and the boiler sounds quite noisy, im not sure if they are or not?

The problem is when the heatings on the pipes start to bang for a few minutes then they stop for a few minutes at the same time the boiler seems to quieten down (possibly the pump stopping and starting) then they start banging again, this is a never ending process has anyone any idea of what maybe wrong?

Also another question theres 2 x temperature controls one for heating one for hot water where should these be positioned? i have them both about 3/4

Is it the boiler that bangs or the pipe work?
Your pipe work may need fitting securely.

Central Heating Temperature Control Range
30 - 85° C
so 3/4 will be about 71° C

Domestic Hot Water Pre-Heat Temperature Control
Range 35 - 65° C
and 50° C

It's your choice were you set them that is why they are manual controls
I would have the hot water somewhere around the 40° C if you wish to avoid scalding.

If im sat next to the boiler i kind of hear a faint bang come from boiler and after that just sets all the pipes of banging for a few minutes then no banging for a while and it all starts again

Do you know what the water pressure reading in the house is?
Did the engineer that fitted the boiler leave that information?
If it's a new install get them back!

Possibly left it but more than likely lost its a house project i have been getting rebuilt for 2 years.
The heating system had been installed for around 11 months but i only moved into house 3 month ago and only this week realy had the heating on so never noticed a problem as hot water seems ok

Right hand connection(return) has a filter in it this may have some crude in it from when system fitted.
Banging is usually associated with getting to hot so it may have a faulty sensor.

Is it doing it on hot water to
