I'm planning a 6m x 3m shed on a concrete slab, then stud walls with featherboard. In order to attach the footplates to the slab, is it best to let the concrete set then drill holes to screw/bolt the plates down, or should I bed upward pointing bolts in the wet concrete so that I can attach the footplates to after it's set? Drawback with the latter is aligning the holes in the footplates to the bolts but I am hoping that won't be too difficult.

Or is there another (better?) way of doing this?

Thanks

Chris

Make it easy for yourself Chris and bolt the shed down once the base has completely set. Expanding bolts make the job dead easy.

sounds like a lot of drilling, John, but thanks for the tip! WHat size bolts would you recommend? I'll probaby use 4x2s for the plates..

Consider something like 12mm x 140 Rawlbolts spaced every 600mm maybe?
The shed will weigh a lot so it won't be going far!
Just my opinion though - others may have their own ideas.
John :)
