Desperate!!!! Valiant Combi Turbo Max pressure low and leak!

Hello,

Urgently required advice.

Hava a Valiant boiler on which the pressure gauge has dropped from 1.5 to 0 and a leak all down the back of my house from a pipe exiting the boiler from inside thehouse to outside through the wall.

Have read posts about doing something with the filling loop silver pipe but not quite sure how to proceed step by step.

Found that a nut was loose and have tightened it. This has stopped the internal flow of water to the farmost right copper pipe.

Pls pls help??

Have you read the instuctions on refilling . On some vallients there is an inbuilt filling loop and there is a lever on the underneath of the boiler that will repressure it

there is a cross shaped screw under the boiler by the silver flexible hose. DO i need to tighten or loosen it? Can I do it at any time or does the boiler / water have to be on/off?

PS: I have the instructions but they make no reference to the fillng hose so I am not sure if they are complete.

Pl advise further. Thanks

Tmax plus filling loop is integral. Sometimes you have to remove the whiteish plastic grille which is on underside of boiler. F loop is towards right - the 2 ends have taps which are operated either by a rad vent key, or a slot type screwdriver. Both obv have to be open for water to flow, you'll hear it. Shut both after.

Water going out through pipe thro wall means the pressure relief valve is leaking. It will prob need replacing (dirt on seat) but you can try turning grey knob (loud clunk when it snaps shut) which MAY close it. Repressurise to about 1 bar.

Hi I have used the grey knob as desrcibed. This made a clunk and there is no more water leaking from the back of the house.

NO I have also found the screw on the silver hose. I have unscrewed it completely and nothing happens. The pressure is at 0 since I used the grey knob.

What else do I need to do now to repressurize the tank?

Hi, The nut I refer to is on the pipe below the grey knob which I turned and made a clunk. It appears to have de-pressurized the tank (the grey knob). By tightening the nut I have stopped the water which was leaking from the pipe joint.

The only issue left is the pressure.

I have read that I need to open TWO screws to repressurize the tank. I found one on the silver filling loop hose. I have unscrewed that. Which other do I need to unscrew to complete the refil. Thanks.
