Unless and until we get out of the EU - either the U.K. as a single entity or the constituent countries of England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland individually - it's not going to make a whole lot of difference, since the majority of legislation passed in this country now is already due to EU orders, and the EU is continually seeking to expand its powers to the detriment of national sovereignty of the member countries.
Scotland, for example, could become completely independent from the rest of the U.K., but if it's still trapped within the dictatorship of the EU, little will change since it will still be bound by all the EU bureaucracy and regulations, which are only going to get more and more restrictive with time.
And what does the Daily Mail have to do with it?
