i`d love to have good discussion on this subject ,then you think to yourself what is the point, because the politicians don`t listen, won`t listen . it`s frightening to think we have a generation of politicians who will not listen to the people that put them there ,i e-mailed my local MP to vote for a referendum on the E.U. she didn`t have the decency to even acknowledge it , and i know she voted against it................

Why not start your own party... maybe call it the referenum party, and govern purely on public will...!!
But seriously, i'm with you, politicians owe us for where they are.. it's scandalous that they won't listen to us...

because we choose if they get in power or not (and all the dosh they can earn on the back of their fame !!)

I do think it's high time our country did get a referendum on either staying in the EU or getting out (completely) No more of this helping the EU out every time the solid waste hits the rotating blades. Problem is now, as most of our power and gas is supplied by the continent, they could virtually hold the UK to ransom.

It's been time to pull out of the corrupt EU for a long time. In fact with what's become known to the general public now, it's clear that traitor Edward Heath should never have taken Britain into what was then the EEC in the first place, since in later years he openly admitted that at the time he knew what the eventual aim was (an "ever-closer union" etc.).
As with just about everything, the politicians have been lying to us about the true nature of the EEC/EC/EU for years.
Germany is getting more and more fed up with paying for the rescue of spendthift countries who get into debt and can't pay it back, soak up EC grants and don't pay taxes.
One idea going round is that if the PIGS don't leave the Euro (or get booted out) then maybe the Northern European countries will, and leave the sponging parasites to sink or swim on their own.

Ah yes, the whacky world of EC grants.
If you give me £10, I'll "generously" let you have £5 and tell you how you can spend it.
The end game is a single world currency, so it matters not a jot about a referendum-they'll just keep asking the same differently worded question anyway until they get the right answer...just ask the Irish, their final yes to the terms of the Lisbon treaty has sounded the end for us all anyway...no referendum matters now we can't back out after Lisbon.
This jostling to-and-fro within the so-called "eurozone" is all an illusion anyway- the ECB conveniently not being able to "handle it" and the IMF bravely stepping in to sort out the "mess".... like they've done to so many countries globally with their "structural adjustments" over the years. The IMF will get the end game closer still this time.
Cameron, Sarkozy, Merkel? Do you really think these people have ANY real power?! Come on, wake up! they're just the puppets installed by the banks and big business to further their agendas, and who get nicely rewarded at the end of their tenure by a well paid cushy job in....an international bank, by means of thanks for keeping the status quo....just have a look at what Major/Blair/Brown were rewarded with for being subservient....

Please tell me how we can get out of the EU, i am at my wits end, (no i am not witless) i have voted BNP and also UKIP to no avail, i did phone UKIP as a canvasser at the last election assured me that we were in the EU for keeps after the Lisbon treaty, HE LIED TO ME!! apparently we can get out anytime a new government is elected.
