Hi This is my first post here, but i have read so much good information in the past.
My baxi has worked well for the last three years since we bought the house.
Yesterday someone turned on the hot tap and turned it off then on!
These boilers seem slow to respond, but this time it did a hot strike up and went with a big bang! i just happened to be next to it in the kitchen.
It would not fire up again, only the red led (flame failure) light came on.
I took off the main casing,Air box cover, and combustion door to find the
burner had lifted the top off.I replaced the burner and the door gaskets (all was very clean) put it back but ran the boiler up without the main casing on so i could observe the combustion window. it fired straight up and was much quieter but the burner seems to run a very orange colour.I was expecting a Bunsen burner blue not a very hot orange. any thoughts gentlemen?
